I was ask to write an essay which document the day in the life of my mentor.My name is Damian Fontaine,My mentor name is Peter Daneker.Mr Daneker works for an investment firm called Blue Ridge Capital.His job requires him to look for up and coming campanies,so his firm can invest in them.
Mr Daneker attended Princeton University.After receiveing his undergraduate degree,he atteneded the University of Virginia and got his MBA.My mentor day at work is pretty simple .He starts work about 7.00 in the morning.He cheaks his computer to cheak for the Asian Stock Market.After doing that he has breakfast. After breakfast, he goes back to the office where he called several invester, and have a small meeting over the phone.
After the small meeting , he calls a meeting with the people in his division.They decide if theyshould invest in that particular company. Most times it really hard to be an Investment Banker.He unsually spends most of his time looking at the stock market ,and cheaking different stock picees.
In the Afternoon, he has lunch.After lunch ,he go back and cheak the stock market to ss if there were any change. If the stock market is low the campany loses money.Peter tries his best to look and make good decisions which would benefit the shareholder an his boss.
